Eaton’s Electrical North American Sales Division is seeking a Region Sales Director – West to join the team. This role will require you to currently reside within the states of Washington, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, California, Arizona, or Nevada and will allow you to work from a remote, home office. If you reside outside of the territory, relocation benefits will be provided to Phoenix, AZ, Denver, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, or Portland, OR. The position requires an individual with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization (both internally and externally), including finance, engineering, purchasing, operations and marketing. Candidates must possess the ability to articulate and execute various sales strategies to a wide cross-section of individuals with various selling skills to deliver assigned order, revenue, margin, sales and other metrics. The position requires an individual that is technically and commercially competent to solve complex business problems for customers, distributors and other constituents. Essential Responsibilities: Leads a regional sales organization comprised of manufacturer’s representatives (agents) and direct employees to meet and ideally exceed annual incoming order quota, sales goals and other assigned growth objectives. Develops and implements territorial sales strategies to maximize Power Systems (PS) and Engineering Services (EESS) presence with end-user, distributors, electrical specifiers and other assigned customers. Supports and influences each manufacturer’s representative sales organization and direct employees to gain mindshare and maximum support of PS and EESS product lines to meet annual incoming order, sales and other primary objectives as assigned. Frequently assesses territory to ensure adequate sales coverage and influence to maximize the full sales potential of the region. Implements and executes standard work procedures to maximize sales representative effectiveness. Identifies opportunities within the region for product specifications, new customers and markets, and develops strategies to maximize PS and EESS penetration for these opportunities. Performs quarterly and annual reviews with assigned agents and direct employees to ensure execution to goals, PS and EESS alignment, adequate training and customer/distributor contact. Assesses the territory for new customer opportunities to increase PS and EESS footprint and maximize the sales potential for same. Develops and implements assigned action plans to meet or exceed desired results. Works collaboratively with other C&I sales team members to ensure success. Collaborates with Eaton North American Sales team to ensure alignment of sales strategy, sales force collaboration, leveraging of sales assets, customer targeting and coordination with other market related activities. Recommends new product or market opportunities based on voice of the customer feedback. Quantifies opportunities as required to support business justification cases. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical sales Minimum 5 years of previous Sales Management experience Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering MBA degree Experience and knowledge of medium voltage electrical systems and equipment desired Position Criteria: Knowledge of electrical products, distribution channels, and industry competitors required Be commercially savvy and capable of dealing with multiple projects, sales deadlines and complex issues in a fast-paced environment Have knowledge of and possesses basic negotiation skills Excellent oral and communications skills Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range for this role is $125,354 - $172,362 a year. Eligible for a performance-based Sales Incentive Plan with a target at 30% of base.
