ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The account manager is the interface for the assigned customer base and directly responsible for creating and implementing account plans to achieve sales quotas for the UK MTL and HAC business. In conjunction with the Channel Management team, the account manager will implement and manage a channel strategy to fulfil the Communications Signalling and MTL entitlement in the UK. The role will maintain, expand and support existing relationships and pipeline, understand the competition and their channel strategies and challenge the status quo and nurture new business relations for market coverage through sales activities and new product introduction. The account manager will drive incremental sales, includuing synergies from other product lines, through project networking and engagement and will track, follow and negotiate to PO all project opportunities, ensuring accurate, timely updating of CRM. It will be critical to network all active project opportunities across the wider sales team, providing clear and qualified intel related to the requirements of the project and competitor engagement to enable the best techno-commercial fit and facilitate a considered negotiation for closure in every case. Overseeing the successful hand over of orders for loading and Contract Management will be key as will building good internal relationships with internal teams such as Customer Services and Technical Sales teams for the optimization and maintenance of all aspects of customer facing account management and customer fulfilment. The role will be a collaborator with peers across the product lines to constantly seek out new opportunities to grow the business. Qualifications What we are looking for: Degree level preferred but not essential At least 4 years experience selling components into the Oil & Gas market Prior knowledge of experience in the OIl and gas industrial process automation market (MTL and HAC devices) would be a benefit Soft skills: Results driven Experienced and skilled negotiator. Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining relationships. IT literate with proven CRM experience. Personable.
