We are currently looking for motivated individuals to join our regional cyber security team. The position is based in Stuttgart.

Objectives of the Position:

Providing a secure and trustworthy customer journey is one of our most important objectives. In order to expand our cyber security capabilities, Daimler Mobility (DMO) is seeking a regional cyber security Architecture and Engineering (AE) Specialist to spearhead the development and execution of the global AE strategy and vision. The AE Specialist will report directly to the DMO APAC Regional Information Security Officer (RISO).

The main objective of AE Specialist is to oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of global cyber security solutions that promote interoperability and manageability throughout the systems development life cycle and to support the identification and remediation of application level vulnerabilities while meeting DMO risk management needs and business requirements.

Further, the AE Specialist is responsible for the broader vision of how the DMO Architecture and Engineering function must continue to evolve and improve over time by maintaining a multi-year capability improvement roadmap of prioritized projects and associated resource and funding requirements for inclusion into the broader cyber security strategy and roadmap.

These challenges await you:

Cyber Architecture:

  • Define, communicate and drive the deployment and adoption of consistent security architecture practices to promote interoperability and manageability
  • Design and develop cyber architecture standards as well as enablers and processes for maintaining architectural artifacts
  • Design and develop cyber architecture review enablers and processes in alignment with Daimler AG, IT Enterprise Architecture and other relevant stakeholders
  • Continuously identify opportunities in existing architecture to incorporate innovative architecture approaches including Cloud Security Architecture, Mobile Platforms and Secure Web Gateway (e.g. API Security)
  • Identify and evaluate tools and techniques to capture, model and analyze security architecture options
  • Develop and provide implementation guidance to regional resources
  • Develop standard metrics and KPIs for compliance with architecture standards and policies
  • Ensure a consistent set of reference cyber architectures are maintained

Security Solutions:

  • Define, communicate and drive the deployment and adoption of cyber security solutions. Ensuring these solutions are in alignment with business needs, Daimler and DMO architectural principles, security protection requirements and required functionality throughout the systems development life cycle
  • Collaborate with RISOs and regional resources to understand business needs
  • Identify and evaluate existing Daimler or new security solutions (e.g., Data Loss Prevention) to be used by the region and collaborate with Global Network and Cyber Security Teams for any new non-standard security technologies
  • Support and provide guidance to regional resources in the deployment of cyber security solutions across regions and markets
  • Develop standard metrics and KPIs for application security standards compliance

Application Security:

  • Define, communicate and drive the deployment and adoption of application security capabilities, solutions and requirements
  • Design and develop application security, practices, techniques, enablers and processes
  • Identify and evaluate existing Daimler or new application security technology (code scanners, etc.) to be used by the regions
  • Design and develop targeted training for application security

Proactive Leadership:

  • Actively communicate and keep abreast of the latest trends in cyber security architecture, risk management and application security
  • Stay current on industry leading practices and technologies
  • Actively contribute to requests for input and feedback into global AE initiatives
  • Facilitate meetings with business and IT members and participate in projects relating to changes in security architecture and Solutions
  • Advise on application security requirements and considerations in alignment with emerging needs of the Business
