The Regional Customer Director is part of the Customer Strategy team as well as the Renal Therapeutic Commercial Organization.
This role works with multiple stakeholders/partners at Headquarters, including the Customer Strategy team, Brand team, Sales, Medical Affairs, and collaborates with an area/region to identify and develop current/future Key External Experts (KEEs) Nephrologists/Hematologists/Cardiologist for activities based on commercial value to drive greater engagement and advocacy as well as informs insights/brand strategy for the Renal Therapeutic Franchise. This position reports directly into the Senior Director Customer Strategy of Renal Therapeutic Area.
What you’ll do
External Scientific Expert engagement & Advocacy Development
Responsible for quality, breadth & depth of Nephrologists/Hematologists/Cardiologist Commercial Key External Scientific Expert relationships at nation/region/area level.
Identification & development of future KEE/influencers (up and comers).
Further establish AZ as a leader in Renal care at Regional/National congresses with our portfolio of Renal products.
Responsible for planning, leading and executing important Regional congresses (Product Theaters/speaker programs, booths & KEE interactions) across the US by collaborating with Customer Strategy Team, HCP side of the brand, and Sales.
Facilitate strategic engagements with KEEs at Regional/National congresses with Brand and Executive leadership.
Utilize input from external scientific experts to help build market leadership, advocacy and commercial strategies, through appropriate tactics (Ad boards, Virtual Community, Expert Panels, Speaker programs, Product theaters, Symposiums and 1:1 engagements).
Successful Project leadership that brings value back to the Brands, KEEs & Customer Strategy team.
Link, leverage and expand AZs partner relationships with KEEs, Nephrologists/Hematologists/Cardiologist improving brand and disease state understanding.
Develop KEE Engagement plans & keep updated profiles for targeted customers.
Strategic consultant for Stakeholders - collaborate and work in close partnership with internal partners/stakeholders: Sales, Brand Team, Medical Affairs, Market Access & Global to ensure franchise has a market leadership presence with HCP and key accounts.
Identify & further develop additional top speakers for the HCP side of the brand and as well as Regional/national opportunities.
Shares pertinent insights back to Senior Director, Customer Strategy Team, brand Teams and other key stakeholders/partners.
This role supports the East Region of the US and preferable for an individual to live in the east coast time zone.
Essential for the role
Bachelor’s Degree required
Previous experience building, implementing & executing project plans, programs and related activities.
8+ years’ work experience in pharmaceutical or biotech.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
This role requires someone who will be committed and flourish in a team environment and will work to foster and encourage a culture of collaboration with their team and team members.
Proven track record of consistent achievement in assigned responsibilities, goals, objectives and any other relevant metrics.
Desirable for the role
Relationships with KEEs in Renal space is strongly preferred
Previous experience in multiple functions (Sales, District Sales Manager, Brand Team, Market Access) and/or Medical Affairs.
Clinical experience in Renal and/or Dialysis area
