Job Description

THE GIG (Summary of the Role)

This role is responsible for reviewing large data sets and identifying trends and translating the unconstrained demand plans into Purchase Order placements in accordance with inventory policies.

 

THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART (Responsibilities)

Demand Planning

  • Consolidate demand plan and facilitate forecasting process for Asia Pacific region to aggregate into regional level and support Inventory Manager to produce 12-18 months rolling forecast and provide analysis on changes on demand plan, forecast accuracy and trends
  • Work closely with Merchandising and Sales Team:
    • Review purchases, product availability and latest sales forecast
    • Manage forecast analysis with reasons and action plans, risks analysis and challenges
    • Monitor and validate monthly forecast and open orders for Asia Pacific region
    • Review derived demand forecast for Core items purchase orders against the buying plan from Merchandising Team
  • Monthly Review Meeting & Reports – Support Inventory Manager to drive & facilitate monthly S&OP meeting with ability to work across different function teams for inputs before deadline and follow up actions after S&OP meeting; as well as to prepare & maintain accurate monthly reports for S&OP meeting
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports & business analysis to support business decision

 

Inventory Management

  • Collaborate with Inventory Manager an accurate inventory plan for Asia Pacific region to support and drive the agreed inventory policies and strategies that maximizing sales and reducing overstock
  • Maintain NOOS stock level for Core items
  • Develop processes that effectively monitors deviation from agreed inventory plan, highlighting risks & opportunities in a timely manner
  • Work closely with Operation Team in the region to expedite and ensure optimised inventory availability

 

YOUR FUNDAMENTAL QUALITIES (Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s Degree Business, Supply Chain, Operations or a related field
  • 5 years or above relevant demand planning & analysis/purchasing experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with reporting, pivot tables, vlookup functions and Visual Basics
  • Commercially minded, proficient in reading, interpreting and analysing numerical data
  • Clear & effective written and spoken communication skills in English
  • Able to work cross functionally with multiple teams
