Regional Director, Finance & Business Support, Residential Operations

 

  • Under the business supervision of the Executive Director of Finance & Business Support - US, and the Regional Vice President, Residential Operations - Americas, and within the limits of ACCOR policies and procedures, HOA (Home Owners' Association) governing documents, and local requirements, the position is responsible for the oversight of all finance / accounting matters and supervision of the Finance & Business Support team at Fairmont Heritage Place (FHP).

    What you will be doing:
  • Creation and embracing the culture of business partnering by working with the General Managers at FHP.  The Director of Finance & Business Support and the General Manager are jointly responsible for achiving optimal performance and returns for ACCOR and our owners, while achiving all measured KPIs.
  • Manage the financial affairs of the HOA in compliance with governing documents and management agreements.  
  • Manage the financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process.
  • In addition to the preparation of all financial statements, accounting and statistical reports, and any other special reports that may be required by corporate office or the General Manager, the Regional Director of Finance & Business Support is responsible for interpreting said reports and then communicating the results with the General Manager and relevent department heads.
  • Has fiduciary responsibility to ACCOR and the HOA for ensuring property is in compliance with the policies, the Uniform Chart of Accounts, HOA documents, and management agreements or other contractual arrangements with respect to accounting matters.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Your experience and skills include:
  • Accounting Designation, Batchelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, or a relevent field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.  CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive work-related experience in multiple areas of accounting (including property management, hotel, or home owners' association accounting), and / or capital projects management and with 5 to 7 years managing teams and / or significant complex projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with accounting system or similar financial software for the purpose of financial reporiting, analysis, and presentaton. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of finance, budgeting, and accounting processes and regulations, along with demonstrated knowledge of capital projects management standards and techniques and GAAP regulations and procedures.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Window applications and relevent computer applications.
  • Highly responsible & reliable with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to focus attention on owner &  guest needs, remaining calm and curtious at all times.
  • Physical aspects of Position (include but not limited to): Constant sitting, telephone and computer work.  Occasional walking, lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
