Job Description
The incumbent is responsible for managing a regional team of Private Bankers and their support staff, and for ensuring that the sales strategies, tactics and process improvements are met/delivered. This position directs the group to maximize banking sales, to develop prospect relationships, and to enhance/grow/retain client relationships. Client base consists of high-end profitable Wealth Management clients/prospects. The incumbent is responsible for directing the team in meeting regional product sales and financial goals including loans, deposit, brokerage based and fee-based products and the revenue attendant to these sales. The incumbent works with peer managers in Wealth Management in establishing team strategies for developing and broadening client business relationships with the Corporation. Incumbent establishes performance and sales goals for all staff members and tracks/measures performance to these goals. Incumbent is responsible for managing the region s expense and capital budget. Incumbent works in concert with Wealth Management Marketing, Credit, Risk, Finance, Sales, Product and Operating management to develop and implement new product and client strategies. Incumbent manages resolution of client issues regarding product/services provided in the region to clients. Incumbent is responsible for managing all aspects of client KYC (Know Your Customer) risk and team operating risk. Incumbent works in a team environment in managing and controlling client credit and operating risk. Qualifications The qualified candidate must have experience in managing private bankers with a proven record of sales results; excellent marketing and business development skills; completed a credit training program or have equivalent experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required with a minimum of 10 years of banking experience preferably in a commercial credit environment handling high-end client relationships. Must have an in-depth understanding of the needs of high net worth clients and a deep understanding of the ultra-affluent market; excellent credit skills; excellent presentation and writing skills. Advanced degree in Finance or Business preferred. The candidate is required to possess Series 7 and 63 licenses or obtain such licenses within the first six months of employment. Travel is required.
