Regional ELT Professional Development Manager

Job Description
Location: Shanghai
To support and further expand our presence in Asia we are now looking for an experienced ELT professional, who will bring their pedagogical expertise, teacher training background and managerial skills to the design and execution of high quality teacher training and promotional campaigns in the region.
Key responsibilities:
1、Managing and developing a team of ELT Teacher Trainers/Consultants
2、Planning and executing a program of teacher training events, with the aim of supporting sales (briefing content of presentations, supervising trainers/speakers, evaluating quality of their performance, ensuring quality product exposure, reporting)
3、Planning and supervising the execution of academic support program delivered to customers and to sales teams, such as advising on materials, curriculum and ELT solutions
4、Building a team of experts/trainers cooperating with Macmillan on freelance basis, especially in territories where we don’t have a dedicated trainer
5、Supporting Asia marketing campaigns in terms of planning and developing suitable marketing messages and materials
6、Supervising the delivery of an analysis of own and competitor products/services key features and benefits
7、Providing editorial feedback and field research to ensure suitability of new publications for the region
8、Delivering presentations at key-conferences in the region
9、Helping look for and develop new business opportunities in the region
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:
1、A minimum of 7 years’ ELT teaching experience, including experience in Asia (across age groups and environments)
2、Previous teacher training experience essential, preferably including training Young Learner and Private Language school teachers
3、A minimum of 3 years of managerial experience, preferably with an ELT-related business
4、Materials development / curriculum design experience
5、A Diploma or Master’s level ELT related professional qualification
6、Native speaker of English, knowledge of Mandarin will be a plus
7、Flexibility to travel extensively at peak times
8、Sales / marketing / ELT management experience desirable
