1. Provide legal advice/counsel in business-related areas of expertise (e.g., corporate law, real estate, tax, business litigation, transactions/anti-trust, compliance, intellectual property, corporate governance, ethics, etc.)

2. Draft, structure and negotiate and/or approve legal contracts, letters of agreement, policies and other documents related to a variety of trade, commercial, financial, and operational matters, adapt templates as required or create new templates dependent on business needs in close cooperation with Legal Affairs & Compliance colleagues in the headquarter in Germany

3. Review and advice on redlines from Sartorius Group perspective from clients/suppliers and other partners

4. Represent internal customers/stakeholders during calls with legal stakeholders from client/partner organization and seek solutions to negotiated points in accordance with the guidelines from Legal Affairs & Compliance

5. Research, analyze, and interpret proposed and existing laws, statutes, and regulations

6. Identify, evaluate, and address issues of legal risk

7. Engage with senior stakeholders within Sartorius Group

8. Giving trainings to internal stakeholders

9. Advising on compliance topics, e.g. Code of Conduct, Anticorruption Code and support at internal investigations

10. Being the first contact for official authorities, risk mitigation and crisis management

11. Represent/advocate for an organization in litigation, arbitration, mediation or other disputes with courts, government agencies, or other legal authorities

12. Liaise with external legal counsels on complex legal issues and legal issues under foreign jurisdictions

Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
1. University or similar degree in law
Experiences:
1. A minimum of 5 years’ relevant industry experience, preferably within a Biopharma/Biotech environment, business to business
2. Experience with international contract law
3. Experience in an international group of companies Specialized
Knowledge & Skills:
1. PRC qualified lawyer
2. Commercial acumen
3. Ability to adhere to timeline review requirements in addition to managing multiple contracts at any given time The candidate will possess excellent written, verbal communication, planning and organization skills
4. Strong negotiator
5. Experience of engaging with different stakeholders groups internally & externally to accomplish company goals
6. Lawyers working internally as in-house counsel or externally in a law firm/professional services environment should both be matched to this specialization
