Regional Logistics Analytics Manager (Procurement)

This role supports the logistics commercial (procurement) category team at a global level with the primary focus on strategy execution to deliver long term competitive advantage, specifically by using quantitative methods to derive actionable insights and outcomes. This new role is required to identify value and cost reduction opportunities by leveraging data to support fact-based decisions within the logistics category, identify better purchasing options and improve reporting accuracy, in partnership with the regional Logistics Commercial Director. In addition, this role is required to provide valuable market intelligence to support logistics buying decisions and processes, and to support the logistics category to operate at best in class levels.
What are we looking for?
- University degree (i.e. Bachelor) in engineering or business/ economics / finance / logistics / computer science
- Advanced degree (i.e Masters) in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or MBA highly desired
- CPG / FMCG experience a must
- 5+ years in procurement, supply chain or finance a must
- Experience with ERP data and functionality
- Core functional expertise in procurement
- Strong Analytics with Experience in Cost Modelling Preferred (Highly Proficient in Excel)
- Proven success in project and process management
- Experience in large, complex, matrixed organizations
- Fluent in English
What would be your key responsibilities?
- The role(s) will be supporting Global Logistics Procurement function and team by providing business and market intelligence, management of data and analytics, and tracking/reporting of metrics:
- Typical internal analyses and tasks include spend analysis and forecasting, savings analysis, supplier information gathering and analysis, pricing and contract analytics, benchmarking, compliance to sourcing strategies and tender bid analysis
- Typical external analyses include market, economic, and other research data, inflation, productivity analysis, supplier identification
- This person will act as a business partner and will work closely/partner with the category teams in their region but also on global projects as required, during the Category tender Management Process, ensuring that it is in line with the Category Strategy execution guidelines.
- They will do this by using data visualization tools on complex data sets and interpreting mathematical models such as graphs, tables, metrics, and schematics to provide insights to Category teams, Business partners, and BD leadership
- The will also support the implementation of advanced procurement analytics capabilities including the evaluation and mining of data to the ability to automate processes, by using internal and external data, including analyzing activity costs, manufacturing processes, labour requirements, for a total cost to compare and identify savings opportunities by region/segment/market.
- Manage projects related to KPI development/improvement.
- Prepare recommendations and alternatives based on analysis of the business to standardize or make processes more efficient and/or reduce costs.
- Serve as a key resource for ad hoc analytics to support ongoing projects.
- Continually challenge the status quo, think differently and push boundaries.
- Work with the regional category on the annual sourcing plan
- Provide executional support in markets in case of burning issues
- Develop and maintain standardized performance metrics and tools that the regional buyers and use and leverage
