Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Build marketing campaigns focused on promoting the Toys“R”Us & Babies“R”Us brand across Toy“R”Us Asia’s 10 markets, with added focus on Japan, China Hong Kong & Singapore.
- Work with the Asia country marketing teams to maintain a regional marketing calendar and ensure all local markets anniversaries key sales events throughout the year.
- Work with the Asia country marketing teams, regional creative team & external agencies to ensure all marketing communication (online & offline) are within brand style guide and follow the Toys”R”Us tone of voice.
- Work with external agencies & internal regional marketing teams to ensure brand awareness is being driven through proactive consumer & corporate PR events as well as media engagement
- Work with Asia country marketing teams to measure ROI from key campaigns and promotions is being measured and develop strategies to increase marketing ROI.
- Analyze data, develop strategies & recommended solutions to leverage different sales / marketing gaps & opportunities
- Work with external agencies & internal regional creative teams to develop marketing toolkits for key campaigns and events throughout the year.
- Develop relevant partnerships between Toys“R”Us Asia and other leading brands / loyalty programs
- Routine market visits to stores across the region and develop initiatives & activations to improve customer experience in-store
- Follow the latest retail trends & provide industry best practice that include, but not limited to – catalog and instore decoration, customer experience, retail technology, blogs / influencers relevant to parents & kids etc
- Routine analysis of campaign highlights from competitor brands for key campaigns and product launches throughout the year.
- NEW PROJECTS – Setup & lead Asia wide CSR strategy. Setup & lead the strategy for Geoffrey the Giraffe (Toys“R”Us Mascot)
Requirements:
- 7 - 8 years of Marketing experience for a leading multi-brand retail or consumer brand
- Must have experience in building marketing and brand strategies as well as managing campaigns for different products
- Must have experience of working in a regional multi-cultural environment and managing projects involving different countries.
- Professional experience should span across marketing promotion management, brand management, PR, events, marketing communication. Digital Marketing is beneficial but not mandatory
- Requires a perfect mix of left brained Analytical thinking combined with right brained creative thinking
- Fluency in English is mandatory. Japanese / Cantonese / Mandarin is beneficial but not required. English copywriting is beneficial.
- Willing to travel within Asia, primarily to Japan, China & Singapore.
- Experience with kids / toys brands is beneficial but not mandatory
- Looking for a team player with a fun loving, positive attitude
