Responsibilities

  • Work with IDT APAC regional Marketing, IDT Product Management,
    and IDT Sales and Commercial Marketing Managers to develop accurate
    marketing personas, effective China-specific customer segmentation
    strategies, insightful buyer journeys, and useful value propositions and
    key messages.
  • Convert this customer and market insight into China marketing
    strategies that drive successful lead generation and product launch
    campaigns.
  • Collaborate with localization vendors, content writers,
    branding and public relations, collateral design, and search engine
    optimization experts to ensure that China campaign tactics match market
    segment needs.
  • Partner with commercial marketing, digital marketing, marketing
    automation, and web development experts to ensure that marketing campaigns
    are executed well and in a timely fashion.
  • Work with IDT leadership to support joint China business
    activities and partnerships with key customers and industry groups in
    China.
  • Monitor the success of China marketing campaigns by using
    advanced digital tagging and metrics to ensure that key performance indicators
    are met and campaigns demonstrate a positive return on investment.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of five years of experience in regional commercial
    marketing, business development, customer management, or lead generation
    activities preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience with IDT market segment or
    related life sciences technology and market segments required.
  • A strong understanding of IDT market segment and customer needs
    across China required.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin required.
  • Experience working with Baidu pay per click (PPC) advertising
    and WeChat social channels required.
  • Experience working with Baidu search engine optimization (SEO)
    strategies required.
  • Experience writing online web content (optimized for search)
    required.
  • Product marketing experience a strong plus.
  • Experience working with IDT services a strong plus.
  • Experience using content workflow management tools (Kapost,
    etc.) a plus
  • Experience using cloud-based project management services a
    plus.
  • Kapost workflow management tool experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or
    related life sciences field preferred.

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to travel both regionally and internationally.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills required, with the
    ability to multitask and prioritize large projects
  • Superb negotiation and influencing skills a must
  • Statistical analysis very helpful
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills required
  • Strong people management skills required; with proven ability
    to influence, work, collaborate, and communicate with regional Sales teams
  • Ability to perform under stress when confronted with emergent,
    critical, unusual, or dangerous situations, or situation in which working
    speed and sustained attention are make-or-break aspects of the job.
  • Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one
    task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.
  • Ability to maintain both a high standard of courtesy and
    cooperation in dealing with co-workers.
  • Ability to accept responsibility for the direction, control or
    planning of an activity.
