An excitig role has come up within our Western Europe & Canada Headquarter team! Reporting to the Regional Medical Operations Lead, Western Europe & Canada (WE&C), the WE&C Operations Manager is the Operational/Program Management Lead for the Specialty Care portfolio within region (Area). This role is a key operational partner for the Area theureaptic area (TA) ensuring processes, governance, communication, and tools are in place to optimize the Area TA’s ability to deliver on their responsibilities within the broader One Team model. If selected for this role, you will serve as primary business partner to Area Speciality Lead(s), driving successful Area operational execution of Speciality medical objectives, with responsibilities as described below: Manage projects and governe recurring meetings (e.g., WEC-Affiliate TA Team Meetings, WEC Team Meetings, AREA Evidence Meetings). Governance to include partnership in meeting preparation and agenda planning, facilitation of meeting logistics and discussions during the meetings, tracking of minutes and action items for distribution. Ensure effective communication between the Global, Area and Affiliate teams, coordinating consolidation of information as needed. Track and support Area Medical Initiatives and Global initiatives impacting Area/Affiliates. Support the successful execution of various business processes such as Financial and Long-Range Planning, Gap Analysis and Evidence Generation Planning, Publication Planning, Insights Gathering. Partner with Area TA, Customer Excellence, and other stakeholders to optimize affiliate launches ensuring timely deliverable of launch resources, timely delivery of launch trainings to equip affiliate locally, and support as needed to ensure alignment within One Team model when going into various launch readiness reviews. Ensure processes, governances, communication, and tools in place to optimize Area TA’s ways of working within One Team model and our enterprise Asset/Brand Planning framework, while simultaneously having structure to ensure local pull through of new processes, tools, and training cascaded from various aspects of the organization. Build relationships with key stakeholders (Global Medical Program Managers, Portfolio Program Managers, Global Evidence Solutions, etc.) in the AbbVie ecosystem to assist the Area TA with alignment, governance, and critical aspect of influencing without having direct authority. Support the Area with other operational activities, such as on-boarding, developing daily organisation tools, etc. This position reports into the Medical Operations Lead, WE&C, reporting into the Sr. Director Global Operations for Global Medical Affairs. Qualifications Am I the ideal candidate for this opportunity? If this describes you, then you might! You have a University/Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a strong background in health sciences, as well as at least five years of experience wihtin an Affiliate Medical Department, Regional Medical Affairs team, or working with Affiliate Medical Departments (drug development, project management, or related experience). You have strong project management/operations skill set, are driven, and have aquired business experience (PMP certification or Six Sigma Certification is a plus). You move things forward with your advanced knowledge of standard business procedures including project management, finance / budgeting and excellent cross-functional negotiating skills. You are used to commanding the respect and support of diverse communicties, including "virtual" teams, demonstrating leadership skills with a broad business orientation. You have excellent communication and networking skills, are tactful and diplomatic, with experience in conflict management and problem-solving. You are also fluent in English, with fluency in a regional language as a definite asset. You have an appreciation of the difficulties and ambiguities in English language, are sensative to cultural differences, and have an awareness of the differences in medical and clinical practice in the region. Additionaly, you are able to: Adapte quickly to a changing environment and oporate well in grey zones when facts are not always available, and being able to make a rational decision is necessary anyway Use sound judgement, strong planning and organizational skills to get things done. Meet and exceed challenging goals by keeping a clear vision and being proactive Detailed knowledge and experience / expertise in AbbVie systems and processes is a plus. You are based in one of the countries within the Western Europe regional office, and can accomondate the home-office policy of that country's affiliate (no relocation required).
