Regional Process Expert, Logistics Supply Chain Master Data (12 Month Secondment)

In order to deliver our supply chain master data vision which supports the successful delivery of the 2025 strategy, the Supply Chain Master Data Team are recruiting. You will have experience in master data management and governance, and a good knowledge of the processes and systems across the portfolio we will be supporting. For this secondment role, particular focus will be on Master Data & Transactional Data aligned to Global Logistics Processes – specifically those within the Logistics Visibility & Trade Management Program.

For the Key Logistics processes centric to Shipment Booking and Global Trade Management, you will be integral to delivering data initiatives and embedding global processes, standards and governance. You will provide leadership and direction in the key logistics master data topics and will work closely with the GLF Data & Systems Champion & GLF process networks to embed standards and drive high quality data and process performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Drives and advocates the need for process harmonization and use of global standards

  • Lead & contribute to the definition & administration of data standards

  • Own the development & implementation of data quality metrics, to drive high quality data, in partnership with the Data Quality Manager

  • Lead on data defect resolution projects before business processes are adversely impacted

  • Embed Lean problem solving into regional data governance activities

  • Lead definition of process metrics to enable governance and drive performance at a global and/or regional level

  • Leads process confirmation activities (going to Gemba)

  • Work closely with the GLF Data & Systems Champion, as well as the Global Business Services Team, who look after Customer & Vendor Master Data

  • Proposes significant changes and improvements to global process standards and policies

  • Lead continuous improvement activities across the Logistics Visibility & Trade Management Master & Transactional Data elements

  • Lead role in mentoring and developing technical skills and delivering training to the GLF Data & Systems champion and user networks

  • Maintain strong links & relationships across AZ with related central functions/regions/MCs and initiatives in the company which contribute to the master data processes.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong domain expertise and demonstrable experience within data governance disciplines and domains, especially in the Logistics area

  • Experience of crafting and operating Logistics processes for a global enterprise with significant geographical and functional footprint.

  • Demonstrate superb interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives, even when this may mean local change / sacrifices

  • Shown change management, interpersonal, assertiveness and negotiation skills

  • Experience of Business/IT partnering for the application of Data Governance-related solutions within Logistics area.

  • Experience of working within a Logistics Supply Chain function

  • A proven solid understanding of SAP

  • Fluent in English (written and verbally)

Desirable Skills:

  • knowledge of business transformation driven by process improvement

  • Experience in data ownership or stewardship

  • Understanding of AZ Global Logistics Operations

  • Good understanding of current AZ supply chain data procedures

  • knowledge working with lean methodologies and approaches

  • Ideal candidates will have specific pharma industry and knowledge of logistics data process
