POSITION SUMMARY

Purpose

The position is responsible for supporting PGG Cylinder Serialization System and device in training, trouble shooting and discrepancy investigation to ensure the proper implementation and sustainability according to stipulated procedures.

He/she is also responsible in supporting the cycle count and inventory reconciliation activities for Packaged Gas Cylinders, raw materials and helium, as well as Major Count for asset reconciliation to assist in the enforcement of compliance to SOX and Company’s policy.


Nature and Scope

This position requires the incumbent to be SAP savvy and possesses good PGG operation and process knowledge, and good understanding or PGG end-to-end supply chain as fundamental requirements. He/she must have a keen sense of learning to acquire detailed knowledge and experience of aspects within this job description by progression through SAP / PACT field experience.

The major activities of this role cover cycle count, major count and inventory reconciliation support including discrepancy investigation, improvement plan development and implementation. He/she must be well verse in AII and OER interpretation to support asset reconciliation. The incumbent also supports the recipe review activities such as ATY and BOM.

As a Power User / Subject matter expert (SME), the incumbent is responsible for developing end users training packages and training via sub-region PUs or MM and PE coordinators on existing and new transactions. He/she also is also responsible for trouble shooting, integration and regression testing for SAP / PACT minor and major releases.

The incumbent is expected to work closely with other functional groups in operation / business not limit to own region where necessary during a process implementation / or root cause investigation events.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Cylinder Serialization (Production)
o PACT Super Power User (SPU)
o Provide technical support in the evaluation and testing of new device including coordination for PACT translation languages (Korean / Simplified & Traditional Chinese) 
o Trouble shoot device defects and system problems
o Carry out integrated and regression testing for minor and major releases
o Provide training to sub-region PUs
o Raise Service Now tickets and the follow-up for closure
o Provide support to evaluate PACT related processes e.g. vendor dropship, CC wholesales, BC (MRI) model and the implementation
o TMA
 provide TMA training
 work closely with Holding in resolving TMA related issues
o Gather enhancement ideas to improve or simplify tool performance to meet business needs

• SAP Cycle Counting
o SAP MM Module Subject Matter Expert (Chinese)
o Provide support in Inventory reconciliation for:
 Cylinder Cycle Count
 Molecule / RM Management
 Helium Monthly Inventory Reconciliation
o Support procedures implementation and minimize stock adjustments
o Improve inventory accuracy up to company standard (95%)
o Conduct regular coaching to end user on SAP transaction and processes etc.
o Train end user on how to conduct stock take investigation and finding
o Work closely with the country cycle count coordinator to close the gap
o Setup monthly report

• Major Count Coordination
o Support China Sub-region Major Count coordination
o Perform AII alignment
o Investigate CTN and Inventory discrepancies
o Assist in the implementation of corrective action / Improvement Action Plan

• System & Tools Support
o PE Master subject matter expert (SME)
 Evaluate recipe (resource and BOM) and provide resolutions where deem fit
 Yearly ATY revision for non-mixmaster materials for standardization
o SAP production Module support in errors investigation and resolution
o SAP System Audit
 Conduct SAP System Audit according to prescribed schedule
 Investigate root cause and follow up on corrective / preventive actions
o SAM+ : Provide technical support to resolve SAM+ errors by working with global IT


• Business Continuity Plan
o Assist in BCP coordination for PGG Cylinder serialization when SAP or PACT is down
o Support data recovery
o Support BCP training and trials

• Documentation
o Develop and maintain job aids, procedures, processes for tools and systems under his/her purview

• Others
o Support tool and system projects including gathering development input, testing and training, and implementation follow up
o Provide subject-matter expertise support to Productivity & Optimization projects in data analysis and system processes
o Initiate and disseminate best operating practices from the COE to improve the Productivity and quality of service to SAP and PACT end users


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Operation Excellence, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
2. Minimum 5 years operational experience, preferably in gas and chemical industry, experience in Packaged gas will be added advantage.
3. Minimum 5 years hand-on experience in SAP or similar ERP systems; familiarity in IT/ SAP and PC application are essential
4. Good knowledge in Packaged Gas Operation processes and container tracking modules, well versed in OER and AII interpretation
5. Strong analytical skill and familiarity with Excel VBA will be added advantages
6. Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills are required to enable the job holder to set objectives and present SAP and instructions clearly and persuasively to senior management, functional/line managers
