Job Description

Eaton’s ESSG Division is currently seeking a Sales Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position is based out of our Delta, British Columbia facility.

 

Position Overview:

The Sales Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing regional administration support functions for the local sales office by assisting with regional planned activities, accounts payable, office administration, outside supplier contact, and by scheduling and coordinating sales and service activities.

In this function you will:

  • Create documents to support communication to the sales team and customers.
  • Assist the sales department to plan meetings, training programs, customer visits, seminars, travel arrangements, employee related events and activities, and support award and recognition programs.
  • Support the sales department with the preparation of quotations, customer specific pricing and entering orders as required.
  • Assist with monthly sales reports and employee orientations.
  • Maintain knowledge of Eaton’s policies and procedures; apply policies and procedures in a consistent manner.
  • Assist with training and supporting distributors and employees on Eaton processes as required.
  • Provide support to outside sales representatives and distributors with the various electronic order entry systems.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with all departments and customers. Utilize digital platforms such as Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Teams and internal software platforms.
  • Administrative functions for sales including but not limited to phone system, building expenses, mail, security, couriers, ordering supplies, organizing the stationary room, and internal communications.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree from an accredited institution in a business or electrical discipline.
  • Minimum of one (1) year related experience working in an administrative function.
  • Legally authorized to work Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Delta, BC location.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience with Office365.
  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience working in an administrative function.

 

 

Position Criteria:

  • Professional and positive approach with an ability to build solid working relationships across the business.
  • Ability to follow and create standard work documentation, including but not limited to safety and 5S procedures.
  • Must possess superior interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to work well with all internal and external customers.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize workload.
