Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all the sales activities in North China.
  • Formulate sales, business plan and strategy that are aligned with Corporate directions.
  • Identify new business, increase market share and presence in North China.
  • Analyze market share, competition and make sound recommendations.
  • Keep abreast of competitive activities and market developments in order to ensure sustained competitive advantage of the business.
  • Organize Sales & Technical Seminars to the target audience and ensure appropriate follow up actions.
  • Coach, motivate and develop the Area Sales Managers and Sales Specialists in delivering the set goals and objectives by effectively implementing the sales plans and providing progress updates/reports.
  • Facilitate to ensure highest level of customer service.
  • Report on a monthly basis to update customer visits, sales/market activities, new business, competition, market trend.
  • Identify “quality segment” and formulate pricing strategy to cater to market needs and requirements.
  • Key Account Management - ensure proper use of KAM tools and creating the “Diamond” relationship with customers.
  • Monitor Customer Account Profitability of Key Customers to optimize investment and return.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering/Pharmacy or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant sales experience with at least 5 years in a sales leadership role in an MNC environment.
  • Knowledge of rubber technology or pharmaceutical/medical device industry would be an added advantage.
  • Proven track record of success in significantly growing the business.
  • Past experience in change management and salesforce transformation work will be highly valuable.
  • Good rapport and negotiation skills with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently, analytical and self-driven.
  • Accurate judgment of business opportunities.
  • Possess good interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • A go getter and self-starter who is results oriented.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Strong leadership skills in managing and developing a sales team.
  • Direct reports : Sales Executives, Area Sales Managers
