This is a Regional Sales Manager - Asia role reporting to the Local Division Manager in the Business Area – Motion located in Shanghai, China. You will be accountable for creating, planning and implementing Asia regional division sales strategies. You will proactively work with global sales team, front end sales (FES) team within the region to drive sales efficiency and end to end profitability, develop the allocated regional markets by optimizing the product portfolios, managing market positioning, follow up sales action plans to achieve both the key qualitative and quantitative targets in a profitable way, ensure a high levels of customer satisfaction through sales process.
Your responsibilities
- Being responsible for establishing, planning and implementing the sales strategy for the allocated regional markets in accordance with the global division sales strategy, budget and efficiency targets.
- Establishing sales targets and ensuring their achievement through regular oversight, definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed.
- Being responsible for achieving assigned growth in orders, margin and related objectives for the entire product portfolio. Working with front end sales for evaluation of potential new and existing customers and their needs, leading the team in a proactive pre & post-sales approach with a focus on solutions.
- Driving smooth collaboration between Local Sales Units (LSU), FES and back end technical support and operation, organizing effective SOP to ensure high service level to customers, continuously improving customer satisfaction. Securing robust and efficient sales support and request for quotation (RFQ) process. Establishing global alignment of the region support teams.
- Identifying, monitoring and maintaining / exceeding the sales market price levels, evaluating pricing impact on the results. Ensuring achievement of sales volume and product mix targets by setting appropriate price and margin for individual sales opportunities.

Your background
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical machines, electrical or Mechanics.
- Minimum 5 years managerial experience with a background in marketing & sales of motors and generators is preferred.
- Must have good application knowledge e.g. for Compressor, pumps and fan, crane, Marine, W&W etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and manage effective working relationships at all levels in a multi-cultural environment. Strong written and oral English skill as a must.
- Must exhibit strong customer focus mindset, systematic and target-oriented way of working, good leadership and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to spot original market/industry opportunities.
- Must be flexible for business travel.
