Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds Airport Lighting Division is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager, Northeast to join our team. This position is based in the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut market. In this function you will: Develop and execute sales plans and programs to ensure we meet and exceed business objectives including building key account plans for existing and new customers to drive growth in MRO and projects Recommend the best channel to market for each major project based on strategic, economic, and customer requirements to assure that a high level of customer satisfaction and meet business targets Promote the value of project business support activities to capitalize on the Company's value-added sales efforts Drive end user preference with airport decision makers regarding Crouse-Hinds offerings Develop ‘trusted advisor’ relationships with constituencies across the territory – end users, contractors, consultants Communicate sales forecasts and market trends to Product Line Management, Operations and Airport Lighting leadership Regular sales territory planning and reporting via CRM and other tools Work directly with Engineering firms and contractors to build specification base and relationships to enhance future business opportunities Obtain and maintain comprehensive intelligence on project activity in the assigned region through various sources to ensure a high level of awareness of project activity When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution A minimum of 5 years of technical sales experience Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within NY/NJ/CT will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred 10+ years of technical sales experience Prior regional territory responsibility Experience selling to US Military locations CRM System experience Experience with industrial product sales, preferably lighting product and large commercial project sales experience Position Criteria: Excellent project management and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and practical experience in a manufacturing environment Ability to communicate technical information to range of audiences, including presenting technical advantages General understanding of internal economic factors (cost, margin, profit impact of decisions) affecting project area Time management skills Domestic travel 50% Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices.
