JOB TITLE

Regional School Design and Development Manager

JOB PURPOSE

Coordination of planning, design and construction of new schools and expansion of existing schools across the China region

REPORTING TO

Head of BD

OTHER KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Internal: Business Development Manager, Project Manager, School Principals, Regional Education team

External: Design Consultants, Building Contractors, Landlords, Developers and Government Agencies

KEY RESULT AREA

Bring leading edge design to the new and existing bilingual school of China region

Embed Nord Anglia Educations brand in to the look and feel of school premises to enhance general user experience, improve parental perception and drive student recruitment

Promote a cost effective approach to design, ensuring that outstanding design is balanced with a pragmatic understanding of project financial feasibility

Support evaluation and due diligence of potential new school and existing school projects

Assemble project teams and coordinate design activities of all new school projects and existing school expansion projects

Facilitate the assessment, standardisation and optimisation of the student capacity Nord Anglia Education’s schools

Implement project management of new school and existing school expansion projects and monitor progress to completion

Stakeholder management with an emphasis on collaboration across project teams, both internal and external

Qualifications/Training

Degree level

§ Membership of relevant professional bodies

§ Project management i.e. MS Project

Experience / Knowledge

§ School design

§ Curriculum impact on design

§ Building project management

§ Management of key suppliers for school design and build

§ Reconfigure existing schools where necessary

§ Project management of large refurbishment programmes

§ Knowledge of UK/US education system and how school design works in that setting

§ Capacity management and Resource Utilisation in Schools

Education sector

§ Working as co-ordinator using third party and internal resources

§ International experience
