Eaton is seeking a Regional Service Sales Director, Gulf. This position is to be based in the Gulf region; TX, NM, OK, AR, LA. Position Overview: This Regional Service Sales Director is accountable to organize and direct the field sales districts and areas in planning and conducting selling activities in a manner that achieves maximum profitable volume at an acceptable selling cost. The responsibility of this position is directing the field managers in selling our highly preferred products to End Users, Electrical Contractors, Distributors and Engineering Firms in the Heavy Process Industries. Essential Responsibilities: Plan and direct with the District Managers, Area Managers, and Sales Representatives, specific methods to be used to insure maximum profitable selling activities based on sales potential. Analyze areas of responsibility, recommending change in sales force staffing, assignments and selling activities to produce maximum, profitable volume, at lowest selling cost. Establish annually with Vice President Sales a Field Sales Plan, based on division’s plan, to provide coordinated selling efforts in the field which will meet the sales goals. Stimulate field sales contributions to new product development and improvement in present products. Recommend sales objectives by product or market that will improve sales performance. Analyze and evaluate probable future selling costs to determine and recommend selling expense budgets. Work across all sales organizations within Eaton to help identify Synergy opportunities for the entire Eaton organization. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial) or Business Administration Degree with marketing emphasis. Minimum 10 years of experience in Sales and Marketing roles with increasing responsibilities in the electrical industry Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree in Engineering or Marketing Prior people management experience Electrical distribution product knowledge Position Criteria: Proven Leadership skills Detail-oriented High level of integrity Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Able to work well with people across multiple functions Strong communication and presentation skills We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
