Talent Acquisition Regional Manager –APAC

The Talent Acquisition Regional Manager will be responsible for leading the end-to-end recruiting activities associated with the hiring needs of Albemarle in APAC. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to interact with leaders at all levels of the organization and act as the subject matter expert in Asia for all staffing needs. At the core, this role will be responsible for driving effective and efficient recruiting processes, ensuring positive candidate and hiring manager experiences and creating a strong Albemarle employer brand in the market.  This role reports to the Director of Global Talent Acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the APAC Talent Acquisition team

  • Set sourcing strategies with HR Partners and Hiring Managers that deliver targeted results in alignment with Albemarle’s overall Talent Acquisition strategy and framework
  • Manage sourcing strategy using various sourcing techniques to find candidates and drives the performance of recruiting according to key metrics

  • Ownership of the APAC Talent Acquisition Process

  • Build regional sourcing strategies for diverse business units, functions and sites

  • Identify and implement Talent Acquisition best practices, techniques and tools applicable for the region

  • Act as Talent Acquisition advisor and subject matter expert for the region; guide and coach the HRBPs and site-level recruiting resources on sourcing techniques and Workday Recruiting

  • Partner with Senior Management and business leaders to ensure talent acquisition meets organizational and business needs

  • Hold regional Talent Acquisition meetings and presentations with various stakeholders to educate and drive recruiter effectiveness and efficiency

  • Develop and maintain a strong partnership between talent management and the HR business partners/advisors to ensure all hiring managers and candidates have a positive recruiting experience

  • Identify, engage, and manage all 3rd party recruiting agencies

  • Provide expertise and intelligence for local talent markets

  • Responsible for identifying and establishing partnerships with key schools and universities that can act as a talent pipeline for Albemarle’s various sites in the region

  • Ensure compliance with all regional and local staffing and hiring regulations

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Communications, or related field
  • 10+ years of corporate and/or technical recruiting experience
  • 3+ years of Talent Acquisition leadership experience
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Strong Talent Sourcing skills
  • Experience working in a multinational company
  • Experience developing and executing high volume recruitment strategies
  • Strong English language capability

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday Recruiting Applicant Tracking System
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter tool
  • Experience in the chemicals, manufacturing, mining or other technical industries
  • Experience supporting a high growth industry or market
  • M.B.A. or related Master’s Degree
