Job Description

  • Coordinate all tax issues including but not limited to audits, indirect taxes, digital taxes and income taxes in coordination with Regional & Country Controllers in the Region:
    • China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand
  • Advise with audit controversy
  • Advise on transfer pricing and cross-border transactions
  • Advise on Permanent Establishment Issues
  • Review each country’s tax provision in the region
  • Review and Understand clearly each country’s tax return and tax issues
  • Review and sign off on return to provision and review of tax reconciliations and all related journal entries (effective tax rate review)
  • Serve as a liaison with tax advisors
  • Liaise with Corporate Tax Team
  • Location to be determined

Qualifications

  • Must have a strong background in a diverse range of tax areas, which could include income tax, indirect tax, tax accounting, transfer pricing, controversy, permanent establishment and income tax treaties
  • Must have a willingness/desire to learn and understand the tax issues in all countries within the region, through coordination with both internal employees as well as external advisors
  • 10+ years tax experience at a large global accounting/tax firm or within the tax department of a multinational company, engaged directly with issues related to one or more of the countries within the region
  • Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant or equivalent a must
  • Analytical and detail oriented
  • Must be proficient in English
  • Additional language proficiency within the region is a plus
