Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems is currently seeking a Regional Team Leader – Project Engineering – Substation and Power Distribution Systems to join our team. This position will be based at any of the locations listed. Position Overview: Reporting to the National Project Engineering Manager - Substation and Power Distribution Systems, the purpose of this position is to provide leadership, oversight and mentoring of project engineering teams focused on both large and small project designs. This position is to provide engineering leadership to teams of designers and discipline specific engineers to create complete design packages including both electrical and physical layout. The Regional Project Engineering Team Leader shall provide a high level of expertise in one or more areas of substation and power distribution design. The Regional Project Engineering Team Leader shall be responsible for managing engineering design deliverables to maintain project schedule, design budget, design accuracy, and submittal completeness working in concert with designers and engineers. The Regional Project Engineering Team Leader is charged with value added engineering and expertise in specific areas of complex projects as well as monitoring the overall Project Engineering schedules and engineering team utilization. The Regional Project Engineering Team Leader shall act as an expert in their field of concentration and provide guidance and mentoring to Project Engineers, Project Managers and Customers. Other tasks that the Regional Project Engineering Team Leader will take part in include scope development, estimating engineering deliverables, engineering subcontractor relationship management, bid leveling, organizational process and procedure development. The Regional Project Engineering Team Leader shall be responsible to support the Project Operations Leadership Team in regional engineering hiring strategies for engineering design, employee training and development and performance evaluation, engineering employee utilization, financial cost control and monitoring. In this function you will work with the following engineering packages: Equipment Specifications Power system studies Single-line drawings General arrangement drawings Elevation drawings Three-line drawings Schematics Wiring diagrams Interconnection diagrams Conduit/cable plans Lighting plans/drawings Lightning protection plans/drawings Control power drawings Grounding drawings/details Grading plans Foundation layouts Foundation plans/details Equipment Testing Procedure Commissioning plans Commissioning support As-built drawings When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: BS in electrical engineering from an accredited institution Minimum of (8) years of Design/Construction experience Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship Must reside within a 50 mile radius of the work locations listed as no relocation is being offered for this role Preferred qualifications: Professional Engineer qualification Experienced Leader of People Working knowledge of NERC/FERC, NESC, NEC, ANSI, NETA PMP Certified Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation Familiarity with power system engineering calculations Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range for this role is $91,429 - $125,k714 a year.
