Job Description

The China Regional Technical Service Manager (RTM) is a core function of the national service process. The RTM reports directly to the China Technical Service Director. Additionally, for International & Strategic purpose, the RTM will work closely with the RTS team in Germany.


The RTM position has the following responsibilities:

  • The sustainable development of the service quality within the territory with the aim of maximize RATIONAL customer benefits and satisfy customer
  • Product management support (local safety regulation suggestion, multiple certificate support, product knowledge support from Classic line to SCCWE, etc.)
  • Fully support sales team (Customer visit, production introduction, designer meeting etc.)
  • Leading, maintaining and developing long term relationships with RATIONAL Service Partner.
  • Service training for both internal and external demands


Primary Focus:

  • Service development, service strategy plan, RSP network improvement, RSP audit, Service KPI define / implement, etc.
  • Organization and management of all after sales technical services within the region
  • Build & maintain excellent trust based customer relationships.

Additional tasks (but not limited to):

  • Consultation in technical issues by phone and in person
  • Administration and follow up of warranty notifications
  • Use SalesForce manage daily work
  • Quality and management reporting, monthly reports to the Service Director China, covering items such as the following: (service activities, achievements, project progress, technical / quality problem)
  • Improvement of product and service quality in the long term
  • Participate in, or assist partners, in trade shows & events where required.
  • Monitoring RSP’s spare parts stock availability in region

Practical Experiences/skills:

  • Extensive relevant service experience and existing relationships in the kitchen equipment or hospitality industry
  • A keen understanding of electrical and mechanical knowledge
  • Outstanding skills in the areas of relationship, communication, negotiation & selling
  • Has strong sense of customer service and professional demeanour
  • Good IT-abilities (MS Office; SAP & Salesforce preferred)
  • Experience in the field of technical service and in dealing with dealer/distributor/service partner networks

  • External: RATIONAL Service Partner (RSP), RATIONAL Customers, Consultants, Dealers etc.


Confidentiality:


All documents, pictures and all kind information are confidential. The details are described in a separate agreement. The RTM is aware that he/she may have to sign a relevant confidentiality and non- competition agreement to protect the key account as well as RATIONAL.
