Job Description
Objective of Job
- Supervise an extensive/complex department (container- and transportation logistics asia, planning and management) in Logistics/SCM
- Receives technical directives from PL4 Vilsbiburg
Principle Activities
- Support the strategic planning of the department/unit (Abteilung/Fachbereich) by breaking
- down or developing the strategic planning for the group, within a short or medium-range time frame
- Plan and administer the budget in his/her area of responsibility, in cooperation with the supervisor, and make sure there is compliance with it
- Cooperate in personnel planning within his/her area of responsibility in cooperation with the supervisor; employ qualified personnel
- Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to associates that report to him/her; make personnel decisions in cooperation with the HR department and the supervisor
- Break down and prioritize group goals for associates
- Implement guidelines, processes and systems (of all container- and transportationlogistics goals ) in his/her area of responsibility
- Support assurance of all functions in his/her area of responsibility (container- and transportationlogistics); if applicable implement measures in the event of deviations
- Manage projects within area for container- an transportation task
- Cooperate in identifying and developing suggestions for improvement (e.g. with regard to processes; equipment; IT-systems, of all container- and transportation tasks) implement the actions determined
- Support other units in managing large-scale company container- and transportation task
- Assure delivery fulfillment and quality by the efficient use of container- and transportation equipment
- Assure quality testing on parts based on test plans, technical drawings, and work instructions (e.g.with regard to function, completeness, etc.), compare target/actual deviations as necessary
- Set priorities within stated times and goals
- Assure rearrange work processes and work equipment in case of interruptions and bottlenecks for container and transport tasks
- Establishes the duties and responsibilities for the personnel, according to the job descriptions
- Offers support to the employees for solving different problems, manages the labour conflicts, ensure the liason with HR Department for exchanging different documents and other information needed/required by the employees.
- Identifies the training needs for the subordinates and supports their continuous development
- Assesses the activity of the personnel and makes proposals for motivation, penalties, promotion, etc
- Communicates, during the specific meetings, the team targets, the results achieved periodically, as well as various information provided by the management of the company (mission, vision, values), performance standards, behavior norms, etc.
- Encourages the fair relations inside the team, keeps a result oriented environment and appreciates the initiatives of the employees
- Gives constructive feedback to the employees and acts as a counselor in the way of encouraging the two-ways communication and team collaboration

Job and Work Requirements
- Professional/graduate education (experienced professional) usually acquired through a bachelor degree or professional certification with several (three to five) years of experience in a specialized field (highly proficient in a technical, scientific or specialized field built on a thorough understanding of theoretical concepts and principles and their context)
- Good knowledge in SCM, 3ys or above working experience in transport related areas
- Good English communication skills both orally and in written
