Eaton is seeking a Regional Vice President-Eastern Canada to join the Crouse-Hinds, BLine, and Oil & Gas Division in the Electrical Sector. This position is based out of a remote office in Toronto or Montreal. Position Overview: Eaton is seeking an exceptionally talented, business-minded individual with excellent leadership skills to manage a customer base, sales resources, products and channels to market to achieve planned results while steering the district sales teams and manufacturer rep agencies. Reporting directly to the Vice-President, Sales, North America - Global Crouse-Hinds, B-Line, Oil & Gas business, this role will develop and implement the territory’s overall strategy. The Regional Vice President will be accountable to lead, direct and develop a team that will have the responsibility of achieving the established sales and margin goals, while managing agents, channel partners and end users. This individual will be well versed with developing and executing a regional sales/operating plan that focuses on leading the market against our competitors. Essential Responsibilities: Owns the development of the territory strategy and ensures alignment with the overall business strategy. Executes and communicates a compelling strategic value proposition through sales agents, distributors, specifiers, and end users. Plans and directs the efforts of the sales teams in securing sales volume through conversion and specifying activities. Gathers and leverages the voice of customer to recommend new or modified programs to ensure a competitive position is maintained within the market. Utilizes negotiation skills to influence and resolve complex problems and influence all stakeholders to drive results. Establishes and monitors staff performance and development goals, sets objectives, establishes priorities, and holds accountable by providing timely coaching and feedback. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from accredited institution Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical industry sales Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience leading a sales team Bilingual if candidate resides in Quebec Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship Preferred qualifications: MBA or advanced degree preferred, from an accredited institution Bilingual preferred Position Criteria: Entrepreneurial leader with proven track record of leading and developing teams through various aspects of the business cycle (growth, downturn) Strong interpersonal and communications skills; ability to establish and maintain relationships Superior organizational agility skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports, peers, and customers internal/external to the organization.
