Eaton’s Electrical North American Sales Group is currently seeking a Regional Vice President, Utility Sales, Gulf to join our team. This position is based at the Grapevine, TX facility. Relocation assistance within hiring country is offered. Position Overview: The Regional Vice President, Utility Sales will direct and manage the activities of the region toward achieving sales, profit and growth goals while continually improving quality and customer serve levels within the group. The RVP is responsible for the strategic management of regional sales resources to achieve sales/orders, market share, price, product mix, and financial metrics established by product divisions, operating divisions and Sales Leadership. They are responsible for defining, leading and managing comprehensive sales initiatives & programs affecting the organization and its key stakeholders (customers, distributors, partners, employees, manufacturing representatives and trade and business media). Leads regional develop of an annual vertical operations plan and annual budget. Leads and drive collaboration/sharing/teaming across the Eaton Utility segment to drive growth of the entire Eaton portfolio. Essential Functions: Acts as sales and marketing agent in conjunction with sales and operations management to ensure top line sales objectives are met. This role is responsible for developing the strategy to identify and develop prospective new customers, keep current on trends and significant issues providing director for the strategic planning process, ensure the region maintains effective relationships with and service to customers. Needs to work effectively with customer and Channel Partners within the region while maintaining relationships with the key decision makers. This role will review monthly forecasts with accuracy to ensure the region meets these numbers on a monthly basis. Oversees efficient execution/ability to execute to sales quotas, cost control, leveraging subcontractors, managing receivables (works with credit department, resolves terms & condition issues with the contracts department, worth with collections), and turn of backlog and projects. Ensures an effective and skilled staff through recruiting, assessment of talent (find gaps and follow action plans to fill gaps), training & development, goal setting, communications, performance appraisal, and conformance to applicable company policies and standards. Provides leadership and director to ensure professional growth for employees and retention with the region. Maintains budgetary responsibility for the territory. Manages sales teams throughout assigned region to ensure the effective allocation of company resources and assets. Advises senior management of customer and competitive developments that impact sales growth and profitability and recommends strategies and decision options to counteract market pressures. Works closely with product divisions to implement strategies focused on the geographic, customer, industry and market needs. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required Minimum 10 years of sales or marketing management experience required Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future. Must possess a valid and unrestricted driver’s license Must be able to travel domestically 50% of the time Position Criteria: Strong management of people skills, talent selection and recruitment, demonstrated ability to manage conflict and leadership skills required Providing developing opportunities for employees Strong interpersonal skills Strong team player that actively contributes to the group’s success Excellent written and oral communication skills in addition to strong organizational skills Proven organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and balance workload Strong computer skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the Internet Preferred Qualifications: MBA preferred 12+ years of sales management and sales or marketing experience in the electrical utility or similar markets. Direct sales experience in the electrical industry preferred Prior P&L experience preferred In-depth knowledge of the data center sales process including products, application and complex channels of distribution Experience in an indirect sales model with manufacture reps and distribution Bachelor’s degree required with a preference for technical degrees Eaton considers qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with local laws.
