Location/Division Specific Information
This position is a part of the Thermo Fisher Clinical Trials Division and is located in Rockville, MD.
 

How will you make an impact?
Perform all duties of a certified pharmacy technician within the framework of a mail order/specialty pharmacy organization to include regular interaction with patients and clinical study sites.

What will you do?

• Assist with and support the pharmacist in the accurate dispensing and shipping of department orders for all projects
• Support the maintenance of inventory control and record keeping to comply with federal and state regulations
• Provide patient and client support as warranted and permissible by law
• Process returns for expired and/or damaged product as necessary

How will you get here?
Education/Training

• High school diploma or GED required
• Maryland Pharmacy Technician Registration required, Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician preferable.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Minimum one year experience in a pharmacy environment
• Ability to function in a high volume environment
• Knowledge of MS Office products
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate professionally with patients, physicians and clinical sites.

Working Conditions

• Environment: Pharmacy operation within a warehouse
• Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 40 lbs, standing, bending and/or reaching up to 6 hours per day, using keyboard up to 5 hours per day
