Job Responsibilities:

• Perform duties to ensure all construction works be carried out in a safe & health manners and in compliance with all applicable legislations as well as the relevant contractual requirements;
• Manage and monitor routine operations of a safety team comprising of Assistant RSO/SSs;
• Assist in the establishment, implementation, monitoring, control and maintenance of all relevant corporate policies and guidelines in health and safety management, internal and external audits and ISO certification;
• Carry out safety inspections and accident investigations including all necessary coordination with the government departments; and
• Any other duties as instructed by the Company.

Jobs Requirements:

 Education / Qualifications

• Higher education in Occupational Safety & Health or related discipline;
• Valid registration as a Registered Safety Officer with the Labour Department;   
• Registered as a safety auditor with the Labour Department and or undergone recognized training in ISO 9001/ ISO 45001/ OHSAS18001/ ISO14001/ environmental protection and the likes are preferable;
• Holder of a valid driving licence; and 
• Holder of a valid first aid certificate is an advantage. 

  Work Experiences 

• Min. 5 years post qualification working experience with a building contractor.
• žGood organizational, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese;
• Experience in MTRC projects is an advantage;
• Hands on computer knowledge and operating skills are required;
• Independent & self-motivating; and
• Immediate available preferred. 

 Works Related Requirements

• Conduct regular inspection of construction sites to ensure due compliance with the required health & safety regulations;
• Provide safety training, carry out inspection, conduct incident / accident investigation & prepare report;
• Initiative, well-organized, independent with minimal supervision;
• Able to work under pressure for coordination and supervision of multi-projects on safety and health aspects;
• Need to perform shift duties including working on Saturday, Sunday, public holidays or night shift.
