Siemens Grid Software are recruiting for an Incident and Problem Manager to join our business in Nottingham (hybrid working on offer). What part will you play? Around 60% of the role relates to the management and delivery of the release management and service acceptance activities and the remaining percentage will relate to line management of the team and overseeing the delivery in the areas of Change, Environment and Configuration Management. The successful individual will be expected to own and lead on the Transition Function. This will include: Management and delivery of all technical change and release activities, relating to projects and BAU service delivery activities and enhancements; Management of the release and technical change schedule to ensure that the workload is effectively managed, planned and communicated (driving a logical grouping where appropriate); Manage releases against appropriate controls, release gates and with suitable stakeholder engagement Relationship management and engagement, building a wide network of contacts and working closely and effectively with colleagues across the business and within the IT operations team to deliver exceptional quality of service, manage implementations effectively and ensure the minimal level of service disruptions due to service transition activities. As previously mentioned the role also includes line management responsibilities. These are; Team Leadership of a team of 3 direct reports across change, release and environment management, focusing on support and exceptional leadership of this very capable and experienced team. Including all line management activities, performance management, development and coaching, team strategy and engagement etc. What part will you play? Specific experience, skills or qualifications that will support success in this role: Excellent planning, co-ordination and analytical skills, including across functions Excellent communication skills, both written and oral – and presentation and facilitation skills Project management capabilities and experience Previous experience in Service Management discipline(s) relevant to the role Be able to work with minimal supervision ITIL qualification (desirable) Experience of Lean and Agile methodologies (desirable) We’ve got quite a lot to offer.
