Job Description
Summary:
Identify the proactive maintenance requirements for assets to increase plant productivity, maximize reliability performance in a sustainable way and to capture all opportunities for process improvement while reducing total costs. This will be achieved through criticality study, implementation of an equipment reliability strategy, evaluation of proactive work results, follow up on any failure along with a formal Root Cause Failure Analysis for defect elimination.
Essential Functions:
- Own equipment maintenance strategy efforts
- Manage Asset Criticality
- Communicate and act to mitigate asset performance risks
- Lead FMEA efforts
- Conduct Value Analysis for repair/replace, repair/redesign
- Lead efforts for asset health analysis and improvement actions
- Capital Project support to ensure reliability and maintainability on new equipment
- Partner in root cause problem solving on equipment failures
- Work closely with process engineer to identify solution and generate corrective action plan for defect elimination
- Responsible for maintenance KPI’s
- Analyze and report maintenance data to determine focus areas and generate actions to improve reliability
- Identify and own PPI projects and cost savings initiatives
- Promote a safe working environment and safely conduct work in the plant.
- Develop, implement, administer and refine site wide predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
- Defect elimination through engineering solutions
- Define, design, develop, monitor, and refine maintenance strategies to include value-added preventative maintenance tasks
- Work with Process and Site Engineering to identify and establish reliability best practices associated with our processing equipment
- Support operations and manufacturing support through troubleshooting efforts
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (industrial, manufacturing, electrical and mechanical engineering)
- CMRP preferred
Experience:
- 3 years of engineering/operations experience preferred
- Root Cause Analysis and FMEA experience preferred
- Experience working with CMMS
Equivalency:
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
Competencies:
- Strong leadership, planning and time management,
- Experienced with CMMS (Maximo)
- Strong working proficiency of Microsoft applications, such as Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team building skills.
- The desire to progress, learn, grow, and succeed.
- Advocate for change and process improvements
- Working knowledge of related pharmaceutical equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to approach tasks and projects with a sense of urgency
- Capable of working cross functionally and adjusting priorities to fit the business need
