Job Description

As the world's largest chip manufacturer, Intel strives to make every facet of semiconductor manufacturing state-of-the-art - From semiconductor device research, process development and manufacturing, through yield improvement, to final test and optimization, and lastly packaging. Employees in the Technology Development and Manufacturing & Operation groups are part of Intel's worldwide network of manufacturing and assembly/test facilities.

Intel's aggressive technology development roadmap is requiring faster time to data and enhanced data quality from transistor, and interconnect reliability stress testing. In this role, you will work as part of the Technology Development Quality and Reliability TD Q&R team to enable efficient and effective wafer and package level reliability test capabilities - characterizing the reliability of transistors, interconnects, memory cells/arrays, and other devices on current and future technology nodes.

You will be joining the Reliability Labs TD RLTD team, which is part of CQN Corporate Quality Network, Intel's Quality and Reliability organization. RLTD is a small professional and dedicated engineering team which works within TD Q&R to develop and implement new reliability stress capabilities that are needed for the development and certification of Intel's most advanced process technologies. Our stress labs are inside Intel's Gordon Moore Park at Ronler Acres Campus in Hillsboro, OR, at the outskirts of Portland in the beautiful Pacific North West.

The Reliability Lab Test Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Driving new product introduction into the wafer-level-reliability (WLR) lab including documenting and communication of requirements, and execution of validation data collection and analysis
  • Troubleshooting and debugging of electrical WLR tests providing root-cause and corrective actions
  • Optimizing and standardizing WLR tests across the lab and technologies
  • Scripting to automate data pulling from databases, data analysis, and simple HW test will be required
  • Vendor engagement and collaboration toward test capability development
  • The job is a lab position where you will install, use, and debug various electrical measurement tools such as parametric analyzers
  • (e.g. Agilent 4156, Keithley 4200), SMUs, oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, etc

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Excellent communication skills and an aptitude to execute against commitments
  • Systematic and analytical problem solving
  • Demonstrated attention to details and quality of work
  • Willingness to communicate achieved results and to influence technical stakeholders
