Job Description
Position: Remittance Clerk
Report to: Head of Customer Services
Job Summary:
To be responsible for handling activities of remittance processing including attending to customer’s inquiries, ensuring all activities of the units are carried out in compliance with polices, rules and regulations of CBRC/ PBOC/ SAFE, relevant local government authorities, Head Office and the Branch.
Responsibilities:
- To handle the activities of Inward Remittance (SWIFT, T/T via PBOC’s Nostro) and Outward Remittance (SWIFT) e.g.
- Review to ensure customer maintain account with branch before updating to the System
- Ensure completeness of documentation before obtaining approval from authorized person
- Dispatch credit / debit advice to customer
- Follow-up with customer to ensure compliance
- To control over safe-keeping of documents are implemented and carried out according to policy
- To timely seek resolution to customer’s request.
- To perform/ monitor registration / system update (daily) for external and internal report, update information required against all accounting vouchers processed the day before end of day closing
- To timely update of both internal and external policy governing remittance activities
- To perform other tasks as assigned by Head of Customer Services
Job Specifications:
Technical Knowledge
- Bachelor degree in Business, Finance or other related field
Skills
- Inter-personal and problem solving skills
- Hard working and being able to deliver quality results under pressure
- Proficiency in both Chinese and English in particular good written and verbal communication skills
- Service minded
