Job Description
Summary: Siemens Government Technologies, Inc. (SGT) is a Federally compliant U.S. organization that delivers to the Federal Government the full spectrum of Siemens’ globally trusted and recognized solutions (products and services), in all 50 U.S. states and its territories, and in many countries at U.S. Government locations. SGT is looking for an IT Director. The IT Director reports to the CEO and hold the primarily responsibilities of: (a) formulating an appropriate enterprise strategy for the company’s information technology resources and activities; (2) collaborating with all senior staff in the direction, planning, prioritization, and leadership of the company’s information technology resources and activities; (3) ensuring the effective, efficient, and secure operation and delivery of all technology resources and systems to the business. Responsibilities: Responsible for the SGT information technology strategic plan. Proactively ensures the plan remains aligned with and anticipates technology requirements driven by the corporate business strategy Leads the SGT information technology operations, establishing clear goals and objectives for the team. Evaluates the team’s performance according to those goals. Ensures that the information technology workforce has the appropriate mix of business knowledge, technical knowledge, and interpersonal skills to support current and future business needs. Ensures the team remains current on relevant changing and emerging technology Ensures the safety and security of SGT’s information systems. Maintains and ensures the security and federal compliance of information stored and managed in company systems on premise and in the cloud Provide strategic leadership, oversight, and direction to SGT’s information security initiatives, aligning office practices with federal requirements including, the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) guidance, the FAR, CMMC, DIBCAC and FEDRAMP. Review current or new developments in technology legislation and policy issues which might allow better delivery of technology solutions to the agency Chairs the company’s IT Steering Committee and ensures that the IT Steering Committee is appropriately informed of the overall status on the company’s business and technology strategic plans, operations, infrastructure, issues, and ongoing risk assessments of the company’s business and technology systems. Establishes and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and controls to affect the efficient, effective, and compliant use of SGT business and information technology resources Develops and implements SGT-wide business technology project management procedures, tools, templates, activities, and infrastructure to align business practices Develops, administers, and controls the IT operating budget. Evaluate and identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and communicate the analysis, recommendations, and findings Provides expert technical advice in the monitoring and evaluation of contractor activities on contracts covering SGT business technology. Collaborates with Siemens’ Business Units to support Federal initiatives Requirements: BS/BA in computer science, software engineering or information systems; MS/MA will be a plus Minimum of 10 years of experience with increasing responsibilities for the management and support of enterprise-wide information systems and information technology Advanced development knowledge of Deltek ERP Advanced knowledge of Hyland Platform Advanced knowledge Application Architecture Advanced knowledge of SharePoint and Office 365 in a Microsoft GCC high environment. Advanced knowledge of federally complaint supply chain practices Minimum of 8 years of leadership experience Comprehensive knowledge of cyber security concepts, principles, methods, and products including expert knowledge of FAR, NIST, CMMC and FEDRAMP compliance standards Project management and budgeting experience Proven experience as a business technology leader in a large organization Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to develop and communicate an IT vision that inspires and motivates IT staff and aligns to the business strategy An ability to gain the confidence of business leaders and to and demonstrate the business value of technology Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications Sound understanding of technology systems (hardware/software) and networks Experience in controlling technology budgets A proven ability to develop and execute a strategic people plan that ensures that the right people are in the right roles at the right time and that employees are highly engaged in the organization.
