Position Overview: The Sr. Contract Administrator provides contractual guidance, conducts contract and terms negotiations, including overriding agreements, and non-disclosure agreements. This position will also review and manage contracts, changes in scope, equitable adjustments, and help to ensure contracts are within company policies, customer specifications, statements of work, and government regulations. In this function you will: Demonstrate advanced knowledge in contract management concepts. Negotiate complex terms and conditions, identifying and recommending mitigation solutions for onerous terms and conditions. Advise program and senior management of potential program risks in accordance with the contracts policy, company goals, and legal requirements. Assist sales and supply chain by providing direction on contractual matters. Provide guidance on U.S. Government FAR/DFARS/TINA/UCC/CAS/ITAR/EAR and other government procurement regulations, including commerciality claims. Provide guidance regarding intellectual property concepts, data rights, and their application. Prepare customer correspondence as needed in order to respond to customers on formal matters and terms and conditions negotiations. Demonstrate verbal and written communications skills to effectively interface with various levels of management, both within the company and with the customer. Problem-solve and provide creative, compliant solutions. Evaluate contracts for risk and applicable mitigation in accordance with company policy. Assist in the administration of proposals and receipt of contracts. Review and execute non-disclosure agreements. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution Minimum of two years government contract or subcontract administration experience in a defense contractor manufacturing environment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. “Green Card Holder”), Political Asylee or Refugee. No relocation will be offered for this position. Only candidates who reside within a 50 mile radius of the Orchard Park, NY facility will be considered for this position. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree from an accredited institution Five or more years of government contract or subcontract administration experience in a defense contractor manufacturing environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite. Experience negotiating price and terms and conditions, including reduction of risk through identification of onerous terms and conditions. Experience with FFP (Firm Fixed Price), CPFF (Cost Plus Fixed Fee) and other contracts types. Knowledge of intellectual property concepts, data rights, and their application. Experience working independently with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment, handling a variety of contracting activities. Experience with undefinitized contract actions (UCA) in a manufacturing environment. Experience briefing or interfacing with internal leadership or customer leadership on contractual matters. Experience negotiating with large prime defense contractors. Experience working with international customers.
