Job Description
Eaton’s Power Quality Division is currently seeking a Repair Department Team Lead on 1st shift to join our team. This position is based at our Raleigh, North Carolina Facility. Position Overview: The Repair Department Team Lead will lead and work alongside the Repair Depot and Receiving Supervisor to ensure on time repair and return of customer repair orders, testing and refurbishment of service stock units, maintenance of single phase UPS units, and conduct special projects as required by the quality team. In this function you will: Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal and external customers on repair depot service orders. Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement. Provide subject matter expertise and training as the senior lead technician to team members on testing, troubleshooting and repair of single phase electronic systems. Resolve shipping/receiving issues related to invoicing, shipping, and repair of single phase units. Administer and manger file systems to ensure accuracy of transaction documentation and records of testing and repair. Ensure functional quality and packaging of repaired and refurbished products in accordance with established test and assembly procedures, workmanship standards, and ISO 9001 and Eaton Quality Systems. Supports custom job assignments based on customer and business requirements. Work to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), bill of materials, manufacturing information, and instructions from Management or Engineers to established procedures. Adhere to work instructions and all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations. Provide process and safety improvement ideas. Perform work area housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+. Assist team in achieving plant and departmental goals. Foster an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork. Cross training in various Repair Depot areas while providing work coverage as needed. Other duties as assigned. #LI-LD1 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent form an accredited institution. Proficient in basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite. Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of Raleigh, North Carolina will be considered. Active duty military service member candidates transitioning to civilian employment are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Minimum 5 years of experience in an electrical or electronics manufacturing, repair, or service environment to include customer service, test equipment use, electronic schematics use, and systems troubleshooting. Minimum 2 year of experience using SAP in an inventory management, manufacturing, or shipping/receiving environment Position Criteria: Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Must be able to frequently stand or bend. Must be able to distinguish colored wiring. Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, or wire diagrams Ability to write job quotes and repair estimate sheets for both internal and external customers Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime. Excellent written and oral communications skills/interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally across multiple departments. Strong knowledge of Enovia, SAP IM and WM for order processing. Good problem solving and troubleshooting ability. Preferred qualifications: Associates Degree in Electronics or Manufacturing Technology or equivalent from an accredited institution. Six Sigma Green Belt Previous experience in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of Eaton processes, procedures, and safety regulations. Forklift experience preferred We make what matters work.
