Eaton’s Aerospace Sector, Fluid Electrical Distribution Division is currently seeking a Repair Development Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Beltsville, MD facility. Position Overview: This position is responsible for the development of new repairs for the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul business. Additionally, the role interfaces with various vendors/suppliers and will be required to develop new repair sources. This role develops component drawings and works with suppliers to procure them in a short lead time environment. Please note, certain duties performed by this role require this position to be subject to the guidelines of our Repair Station Certificate and are subject to DOT drug testing. In this function you will: Develop and execute cost effective repair procedures for Eaton, non-Eaton and government regulatory agencies’ products. Research and comply with all required regulatory approvals for Aero Repair Station. Exploration of topics relating to – customers, markets, products, suppliers, competition, technology trends, economic drivers and financial indicators. Provide frequent and effective two-way communication with internal and external customers in a timely manner. Partner with cross functional team to deliver new repair schemes in short lead time. Schedule and attend visits to customers to promote repair capabilities as requested, and perform regulatory audits as needed. Travel as required to customers, other Eaton locations, etc. to meet customer needs. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering field from an accredited institution. Minimum of five (5) years of engineering experience. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Beltsville, MD facility will be considered. All positions require use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in arms regulations. All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. Person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee. Preferred Qualifications: FAA Designee Certification Minimum of five (5) years of Aerospace industry experience working with component or system design and manufacturing Position Criteria: Must obtain FAA/EASA/CAAC approval via a Consultant DER.
