Job Title: Research Assistant
Mode: Full-time
Appointment Period: 1 year with the possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement

Job Duties
The appointee will be responsible for (a) conducting quantitative and qualitative research studies
relating to the project, including literature review, research design, data collection, analysis,
compilation of reports and other forms of deliverables; (b) providing administrative support to the
research team; (c) assisting the PI to design and facilitate individual and group life-design vocational
counselling programmes for rehabilitated drug abusers; (d) compiling progress reports and the final
report; e) assisting in the publications of findings of the project; and f) assisting in other related
research work as prescribed by the PI and Co-PI.

Requirements

Applicants should have
(a) a Bachelor’s degree or a master degree in psychology, counselling or counselling psychology;
(b) good command of SPSS;
(c) sufficient knowledge of other data processing software, such as Lisrel/AMOS or Nvivo/QDA-

Miner, which is a definite advantage;
(d) good command of English and Chinese language (Cantonese) with fast typing skills;
(e) good interpersonal skills;
(f) good knowledge of, and practical experience in vocational counselling, narrative therapy or

expressive art therapy, which will definitely be an advantage;
(g) good personal qualities such as being responsible, industriousness, readiness to learn, and

enthusiasm in helping other people.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
