The appointee will mainly assist the Principal Investigator in conducting the research project “Investigating the Potential of Using Probiotic Bacteria in Making Traditional Chinese Foods with Health-promoting Effects and Reduced Carcinogenicity” (R&D Project R6278). He/She will mainly be responsible for the following:
- Conducting experimental research as instructed by the Principal Investigator;
- Performing data analysis;
- Assisting in report writing and results presentation;
- Conducting other research activities as instructed by the Principal Investigator; and
- Providing effective office support and research related assistance.
Requirements
Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
- A Bachelor’s degree, or above in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Testing and Certification or a related discipline;
- Research experience in microbiology and molecular biology;
- Cell isolation and molecules identification techniques;
- Strong sense of responsibility, effective organization and interpersonal skills; and
Advanced techniques in molecular biology and biochemistry are highly preferred.
Compensation Package
