Research Assistant I

The appointee will conduct empirical study in the research area of air/noise pollution exposure and health impact. He/she will be primarily responsible for data preparation using Geographical Information System (GIS), literature review, conduct survey, operate equipment for mobile monitoring and perform spatial and statistical analyses. The appointee shall report to the Principal Investigator to produce experimental and analytical findings.
Requirements
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor Degree in or above in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geography, Public Health or relevant disciplines, or equivalent level of study; (ii) proficient communication skills in both written and spoken English; (iii) strong statistical skills; and (iv) self-motivation and an independent work attitude. Priority will be given to the applicants with at least 1 year of research experience in field measurements of air pollution and ability to utilize GIS.

Salary and Benefits
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract for one year and renewable subject to performance.
