Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Spine Surgery of the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (Ref.: 495675) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with at least 1 year’s work experience. They should have good communication skills, self-discipline, and the ability to work independently. Experience in patient contact and interview, blood-taking, tissue banking and DNA extraction is required.

The appointee will coordinate clinical research projects. He/She will identify and recruit subjects, contact patients, handle clinical specimens, isolate DNA, handle medical record retrieval and assessment, input data, manage database, provide support on research administration, and perform other duties as assigned.
