Department of Chemistry
The appointee is expected to conduct research work in the joint-laboratory of Prof. Gary Wong and Dr. Catherine Hor for projects in the areas of neuroscience, disease modeling, and biochemistry of lanthanides. He/She will be performing laboratory techniques including in vivo (mouse), in vitro, human stem cell cultures, confocal imaging, CRISPR gene-editing, ICP-mass spectrometry and biochemistry assays.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in science or related disciplines;
- preferably with past laboratory experience in the field of biomedical life science or biochemistry;
- self-motivated, well-organised, meticulous, team player; and
- strong passion for science.
On-the-job training will be provided to the incumbent.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of 6 to 12 months. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
