Major Duties

The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:

• Seeking funding support for research projects and/or participating in relevant research projects;
• Conducting workshops and seminars on research;
• Participating in STEAM education related research projects;
• Helping develop, and offer undergraduate or postgraduate courses (including face-to-face and distance learning modes) / STEAM education learning materials / pedagogy; and
• Providing instructional expertise related to STEAM education, and carrying out curriculum review for STEAM education.

Requirements

Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

• An earned doctorate in STEAM Education, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science and Engineering, Educational Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Environmental Science and Technology, Information Technology, Learning Analytics, Food Science and Nutrition, Mathematics and Statistics, or Testing and Certification;
• A record of research and peer-reviewed publications, preferably with grant application and management experience and active involvement in professional and community activities;
• A good command of English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua).
• Preference will be given to applicants with areas of specialization in pedagogy and/or STEAM education; and
• Experiences in classroom teaching, conducting pedagogy training workshop, and development of curriculum would be an advantage.

Compensation Package

Competitive compensation package including basic salary, end-of-contract gratuity and discretionary incentive (if any) will be offered to the right candidate. Fringe benefits such as generous annual leave, staff learning and development sponsorship, medical & dental benefits and life insurance coverage will also be provided.
