The Department of Physics invites applications for Research Assistant Professor, starting as soon as possible. Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in physics; and (ii) research experience in areas in physics currently being pursued in the department, including:

- Astrophysics and Cosmology;

The appointees should demonstrate a strong record of research accomplishments and potential for establishing significant externally funded research programmes, and are expected to undertake light teaching duties at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He/She will work closely with faculty members in the Department to enhance the existing strengths. Information about relevant research in the Department can be found at http://www.phy.cuhk.edu.hk.

Appointments will initially be made on contract basis for up to three years, renewable subject to mutual agreement. Applications will be accepted until the posts are filled.
