Job Summary:

FuseBio is seeking highly motivated research associates to join our discovery pipeline of protein therapeutics. These positions are key components of company’s technical capability and are responsible for routine experiments ranging from molecular biology, protein chemistry, to cell biology. The successful candidates will work closely with founding team with exposure to the whole discovery pipeline. These positions require excellent scientific and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on creative solutions to technical problems, along with the ability to interpret analytical results. Ideal candidates have hands-on experiences in aforementioned areas, want to be a part of biotechnology innovation, and are motivated to challenge self with more responsibilities.

Responsibilities

1. Execution part of routine experiments: bacteria culture, phage growth, plasmid preparation, PCR, cloning, restriction digestion, bacteria transformation, mammalian cell transfection, protein expression and purification, SDS-PAGE, BLI, SPR, ELIA, FPLC, tissue culture, stable cell line, immune-assay et al. Candidates with relevant experiences in any of above technical skills are encouraged to apply.

2. Communication with CRO companies regarding to plasmid synthesis, primer synthesis, DNA sequencing, plasmid preparation, protein expression et al.

3. Data recording, analysis and presentation

4. Instrument maintenance, reagent stock check up and work environment maintenance

Qualifications

While on-the-job training will be provided, there are some basic requirement:

1. Bachelor degree major in biological science such as chemistry, biology, pharmacology, and agriculture et al, with at least two-year’s (accumulative) hands on experience on bench work.

2. Team player, keen in learning, and basic interpersonal skills.

3. Self-motivated in a start-up environment with interest in science; ready to adventure and grow with company

4. Relevant experience is preferred; proficient in both Chinese and English are required.
