Research (China) Volunteer

About the role

Amnesty International is looking for a brilliant, dynamic volunteer to assist the China Team in the East & South East Asia & the Pacific Regional Office based in Hong Kong. You will be involved in different aspects of our work, including collecting data on the use of the death penalty, conducting statistical analysis, editing research document and visualizing research findings.

About you

You are curious, organized and detailed oriented, with good analytical skills and good understanding of human rights situation in China.

You are fluent in both English and Chinese. You have solid experience in desk research and a good understanding of mainland China’s general human rights issues, especially the use of the death penalty.

You are adept at working with deadlines, can work on own initiatives and feel comfortable working in a collaborative environment. You are interested in human rights and Amnesty International’s campaigns.

Work arrangement
The volunteer will be working remotely for 12 hours per week over a period of 1 month.
