Job Description

Responsibilities:

Management Support

  • Helicopter View for leading and monitoring all new product / process development projects
  • As a bridge to communicate different functions both internal and external customers
  • Food safety, new product ideation, new raw material sourcing, new product/process development, cost effective and operation capability will be built-in criteria for running all product development 

 

New Production Development

  • Assist the Senior R&D manager to provide the best support in R&D for new product development, ensuring food safety, product quality and regulatory compliance
  • Supervise a small team in leading and monitoring all product development projects globally
  • Keep abreast of the market trend on new products and ensure products developed are speed to markets
  • Lead the team to develop line extension of flavors, new product categories and new processing
  • Familiar with different kinds of food processing
  • Act as gate keeper for approving new product launch from technical aspect
  • Provide monthly KPI review for management on new product development
  • Ensure new products are cost effective and competitive to the markets
  • Provide technical support to management on all projects

 

Technical Support

  • Provide technical support on production issues, including processing procedures, preparation of ingredients and packaging processes to ensure the final products are safe and meet the required quality
  • Support customer inquiries for providing product related information
  • Provide technical support and training to Sales, Purchasing and Production/Manufacturing function

 

Administration and Communication

  • Review and establish guideline and procedures for new product development to ensure compliance with Headquarter requirement
  • Communicate with R&D staff and various functions to tackle problems, to establish objective and to coordinate new projects 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Food science or related disciplines
  • Minimum 10 years of research & development experience in food industry, preferably in food manufacturing company on sauce manufacturing or dressing
  • Good management and supervisory skill
  • Good knowledge in computer and data processing
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Willing to travel frequently
