Sales impact of these projects vary between 100K Euro and 2 Mln. Euro. The Services & Aftermarket EMEA business has a growth strategy with a strong potential due to Eaton’s EMEA current installed base of products from a timeframe of 50 years of history from Low Voltage and Medium Voltage systems. Due to Eaton’s sustainability goals but also based on the global focus on sustainability as a market development, the above-mentioned products are in transition to more sustainable solutions e.g. change of oil insulated switchgear to vacuum insulated switchgear. Your main responsibilities: Responsible for developing standardized mechanical design retrofit solutions for Aftermarket products in Low and Medium Voltage Systems in electrical distribution and/or motor control applications. Define technical specifications, create concept solutions, validate concept choice by making calculations and simulations, detail design, validate design and take part in the laboratory certification process, and release for production. Being part of an enthusiastic R&D team, working together with other professional engineers in several countries, in close cooperation with the manager and project manager to achieve business goals. Other cooperating parties including Laboratories, Grid companies, EMEA Country Service Units (CSU’s), other production facilities, suppliers etc. Developing a learning platform including a knowledge management base to retain current knowledge and experiences. Qualifications Your essential skills we are looking for: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education. Knowledge and experience of 3D CAD/PDM related tools and designing on product development Knowledge of DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) Good Analytical skills Accountable and creative and aligned to Eaton’s Leadership model behavior as a professional. Excellent communication skills Must have a strong drive in performing his tasks and a sense of urgency to keep defined deadlines.
