The ES EMEA PMCC Power Distribution Components has an opening for a Research & Development (R&D) Controller, located in Vienna. The future Research & Development (R&D) Controller, leads all financial tasks in regards to R&D new product development, cost visibility measures, project cost analysis and monthly finance closing processes and provides input for the ledger controller in regards to the monthly Forecasting and annual budgeting cycles. This position refers to talents in Finance who are currently operating in matrix organizations and managing key financial processes and want to grow into the next level. The person should have a good head for figures and for dealing with complex analysis, as well as a sound experience in SAP as well as Excel. The person should have eagerness to learn and drive, to improve processes within the R&D Controlling and Accounting area. This position will be based in Vienna and has opportunity to grow within the local finance organization as well as within the whole Power Distribution Components Division. Your key deliverables: Acts as a business partner to cross functional departments leaders to identify opportunities and supports with financial analysis and expertise for business opportunity calculations (BOC’s). Leads the month end close process for all RnD Controlling and Accounting Activities Develops and coordinates RnD business profit plans and supports Project Waterlining Provides accurate and timely financial reports and the interpretation of such including variance analysis, cost control reporting and recommendations Manages budgets around projects internally and externally in accordance with the Austrian “Forschungsprämie” regulations Conducts cross-functional reviews and evaluates cost out opportunities and continuous improvement measures Acts as a true business partner advising on financial implications of strategies Evaluates and approves RnD capital appropriation requests prior to region/division approval Monitors and reports purchase commitments and spending Acts in accordance with Eaton compliance rules, corporate policies and SOX requirements Manages intercompany project cross-charging in line with agreed and planned resources Liase with auditors to ensure alignement with legal grant requirements Teamplayer who drives culture and ensures the competitiveness of the RnD function Qualifications Your Profile Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Finance and Accounting, ideally with strong RnD controlling background Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, ideally plus ACCA or CMA (or higher) Good Excel knowledge SAP FICO knowledge is an advantage Fluent in English Eagerness to learn Proactive and process driven attitude What Eaton offers: Competitive compensation and benefits package Contract in fast growing global company Challenging projects in dynamic collaborative team Great promotional opportunities – We encourage internal promotion, whenever possible Culture & Values – We are more than the products we invent and produce – the way we do business is just as important. The salary range for this position is above the collective agreement and, depending on training, qualifications and professional experience, is from EUR 49'000 gross annually.
